The race.
Helen's 5K Run/Walk takes place on September 20, 2026, at Sands Point Preserve in Sands Point, NY, with an in-person 9:30 AM start and a USATF-certified course. Registration costs $35 ($25 for ages 1–17) and includes a t-shirt for pre-registrants (guaranteed if registered by September 1st) plus post-race refreshments. Check-in and registration begin at 7:45 AM. Participants of all ages can walk or run; those under 18 need a signed parental waiver. Funds benefit Destiny Home, supporting DeafBlind individuals with intellectual disabilities in New York State, and Helen Keller Services' communication access programs. A virtual option runs September 14–26, 2026.
