Hermes Dead Sprint 2026

The race.

The Hermes Dead Sprint takes place on October 31, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio, featuring a 5K run and a Little Monster Candy Dash for children 8 and under. The 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. with chip timing, preceded by the children's dash at 8:45 a.m.; packet pickup and race-day registration open at 7:30 a.m., with early pickup available October 29 from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at McCarthy's Downtown. The course runs through the Flats and Whiskey Island. All participants receive a long-sleeve t-shirt, finisher medal, and commemorative cup; 5K runners also get one Surfside vodka drink (age 21+). Overall winners earn custom trophies, and the top three finishers in each of 12 age groups receive custom pint glasses. A post-race party, costume contest for kids and adults, and brunch and drink specials follow at McCarthy's Downtown. Pre-registration costs $35 through October 13; later entries are $40. The Little Monster Candy Dash costs $15.
