HIKE-a-THON 2026

The race.

Woodlands Conservancy's 2026 Hike-A-Thon challenges participants to complete 26.2 miles between October 1 and October 31, 2026, in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Participants may hike, walk, or run at their own pace, logging miles individually or in multiple sessions through the event website. Registration closes at 6 a.m. on October 26, 2026. All registrants receive a Woodlands Conservancy Annual Membership; those completing the full marathon distance also receive a Nature Guide. Top finishers earn additional prizes including backpacks, Palmetto glassware, and a travel hammock. Prize pickup occurs November 7, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at Woodlands Conservancy's office at 1500 Woodland Highway. Proceeds support the Woodlands Conservancy land trust's efforts to preserve forested wetlands and ecologically significant lands.
