The Hobo Trail Runs on September 11–13, 2026, at Rock Cut State Park in Rockford, Illinois, offers five distances: a 10K on Friday evening, a 25K on Saturday, and a 50K on Sunday, plus two combined Triple Crown options totaling 85K or 60K. The 10K trail race begins Friday at 7:00 p.m. near the boat launch with a 9:30 p.m. finish deadline; runners must bring lights and headlamps. The 25K starts Saturday at 8:00 a.m. at Red Oak picnic area with 5 hours of course support, while the 50K starts Sunday at 8:00 a.m. at the same location with 8 hours of support. All finishers earn Hobo Railroad Spike awards by age group and overall placement, and Triple Crown finishers receive an additional 3-spike award and special swag. Day-of registration runs Friday 5:30–6:30 p.m., Saturday 7:00–7:45 a.m., and Sunday 7:00–7:45 a.m.
