The Hokie Half Marathon and 5K takes place September 20, 2026, in Blacksburg, Virginia. The half marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K at 8:00 a.m. Half marathon registration is capped at 2,000 participants and the 5K at 500. Online registration closes September 18 at 7 p.m.; paper registration continues through 8 p.m. on September 19 at packet pickup at University Mall. Half marathon registration ranges from $75 to $110 depending on options and deadlines, while 5K registration ranges from $33 to $57. Half marathon finishers receive a Hokie Bird medal; 5K finishers may choose options with or without medals. Overall awards for the half marathon include $500 for first place, $300 for second, and $200 for third in both male and female categories. Age group awards are given to top three finishers in each of 13 age divisions from 15 to 75-over.
