About the race

The race.

The Marion County Running & Walking Club hosts the HONEY Bags 5K and Kids Fun Run on April 18, 2026, in Fairmont, WV, benefiting HONEY Bags Inc., a nonprofit providing weekend food assistance to school-age children. The 5K road race begins and ends at East Fairmont High School and covers a course through Pleasant Valley, including sections along Airport Road, Crosswinds, and the Brickside Grille and Quality Inn areas. The Kids Fun Run, an 800-meter event around the EFHS softball field outfield, starts at 8:30 a.m., with the 5K starting at 9:00 a.m. Top three male and female finishers receive awards, with results posted by age category. All race proceeds support HONEY Bags' mission to provide food bags to elementary and middle school students.
