The race.
The Hops Trot 5K takes place September 12, 2026, in Rio Grande, NJ, at Cape May Brewing. Participants choose between a 5K, 1 mile, 10K, or 13.1-mile distance on marked routes through Cape May Airport. Check-in occurs 30 minutes before the start time, with complimentary coffee and pastries available. Each finisher receives a medal, official pint glass, two complimentary craft beers (or non-alcoholic options), neoprene koozie, collectible bib, and raffle ticket. Post-race festivities at Cape May Brewing include live music, food trucks, games, and a raffle with over $3,000 in prizes. The event benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
