The race.

Houghton's Pond Trail Races offers two distances—7 miles and 3.7 miles—on October 4, 2026, in Milton, MA, within the DCR Blue Hills Reservation. Both courses run 95 percent on dirt roads and forest paths with rolling terrain, starting and finishing at Houghton's Pond Visitor Center. The 7-mile route includes approximately 700 feet of elevation change, while the 3.7-mile course has about 300 feet. A portion of race proceeds supports Friends of the Blue Hills for trail maintenance and reservation advocacy.
