The race.
The Howl-o-ween 5K takes place on October 25, 2026 at 9:00 am in Chicago's Dan Ryan Forest Preserve on a paved route. The event supports K9's for Veterans NFP. Registration includes a short-sleeve t-shirt, finisher medal, and doggie finisher medallion; the race is chip-timed with live results posted at J3Timing.com. Finish line treats are provided for both runners and dogs. Participants may run or walk the 5K with or without a pet, and dogs do not require separate registration. Virtual participation is available.
