About the race
The race.
The Huron River Run/Walk 5K takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., starting and finishing at the Huron River Pier (corner of Main Street and Wall Street). The 3.1-mile course passes through Huron's Old Plat and Oklahoma neighborhoods with one water station at the 1.5-mile mark near Huron High School. Early bird online registration ($20, guaranteed race shirt) closes June 26; later registration is $25 with shirt not guaranteed. A kids' fun run starts around 9:30 a.m. for $1 race-day registration. Top three finishers in each age category and overall male and female winners receive medals or plaques. Proceeds benefit Huron's track and field and cross country scholarship programs.
