About the race
The race.
The Irish American 5 & 10K Road Race takes place on Labor Day, September 7, 2026, in Malden, MA. The 10K course is mostly flat and winds through the Edgeworth neighborhood, skirting the Malden-Medford border. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. at the Irish American Club. Entry includes a race t-shirt, water on course and at the finish line, and two drink tickets to the after-party. Medallions are awarded to first and second place finishers in seven age groups (17 & under through 70 & over) for each gender. A portion of proceeds benefits the Malden Warming Center.
