J.J. the Jet Plane Foundation 5K Color Run/Walk for Pediatric Cancer 2026

The race.

The J.J. the Jet Plane Foundation hosts its 9th annual 5K run/walk on September 19, 2026, in Frenchburg, Kentucky, to benefit pediatric cancer research through UK Children's Hospital's Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department. Participants can choose between an in-person standard 5K, an in-person color run/walk featuring washable powder and slime, or a virtual option available anytime and anywhere. All registrants receive a race shirt; virtual participants have shirts shipped to their address. Medals are awarded to the top three overall finishers and the top three finishers in each of eight age groups (0–9, 10–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+). Teams can be formed, with a prize given to the largest team. The foundation has previously donated over $50,000 to UK Children's Hospital.
