Jacob's Ladder Challenge 2026

The race.

The Jacob's Ladder Challenge takes place Wednesday, September 16 at 6:00 pm at Redwood Shelter in Waco, TX. Participants complete as many 1-kilometer loops as possible in 30 minutes, running from the shelter up Jacob's Ladder and back, with a 70-foot elevation gain per loop. Lap count and finish time after the final completed lap determine results. The event is free for current Waco Striders Running Club members; pre-registration is required for bib assignment. On-site bib pickup occurs from 5:30–6:00 pm. Water will be provided, and participants may bring their own beverages. Open and Masters age groups compete for bragging rights only.
