Jimmie Hale Mission Rescue Run 5K & 10K 2026

The race.

Jimmie Hale Mission Rescue Run offers three timed distances on October 3, 2026, in Homewood, AL: a 10K, 5K, and 1-mile fun run. The 10K begins at 7:45 a.m. and the 5K at 8:00 a.m., with the 1-mile fun run starting at 9:00 a.m. Both the 10K and 5K courses are chip-timed and relatively flat. All registered participants receive a race t-shirt and, for the first 400 registrants, a swag bag. Post-race refreshments include food, water, and sports drinks. Awards are presented by gender and age group (14 and under through 70+) for the 10K and 5K. Packet pickup is available September 30 and October 2 at Trak Shak, or on race morning at the Old Homewood Police Station parking lot. The start and finish line is on 29th Avenue South between 18th and 19th Streets South.
