About the race
The race.
The JJC Foundation 5K Run/Walk takes place on October 4, 2026, in Joliet, Illinois, organized by Joliet Junior College. Participants can compete in-person on a flat, paved campus course or virtually. The 5K starts at 9:00 a.m., with a separate 1-mile kids' run beginning at 8:30 a.m. In-person 5K finishers receive a short-sleeve t-shirt and medal, plus age group awards are offered. A team award recognizes the group with the most participants. Virtual participants receive swag bags mailed the week before the race.
