About the race
The race.
The JRR Prediction Run takes place August 21, 2026, on the Tin Cup Trail in Joplin, Missouri. Participants register for the 5K distance by submitting a predicted finish time before the race. During the event, electronic devices are not permitted. The winner is determined by whose actual finish time most closely matches their predicted time, rather than by speed. Runners who join the Joplin RoadRunners prior to registration receive a complimentary race entry and BBQ access.
