The race.

The July 4th Run takes place on July 4, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, offering distances of 1 mile, 5K, 10K, and half marathon (13.1 miles). Participants can choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 AM, with the final wave at 8:30 AM; coordinators remain on-site for three hours after the first wave. All ages and paces are welcome to run or walk, with participants under 18 needing a guardian. Registration fills on a first-come, first-served basis per wave, with a virtual run option available for those unable to participate in person. Finishers receive a technical running shirt (shipped to a U.S. address), finisher's medal, finisher's towel or giveaway item, digital training pack, online results, and a certificate of completion. Timing is optional and can be tracked via personal apps or with coordinator assistance; no timing chips are used. Last-minute registrations within two weeks of the race are accepted, though shirts may arrive after the event.
