Jungle Gardens 7K Trail, 5K Run & 1 Mile 2026

The race.

On November 7, 2026, runners can participate in a 1-mile fun run starting at 8:00 a.m., a 5K run beginning at 8:30 a.m., or a 7K trail run starting at 8:38 a.m. on Avery Island, Louisiana. The race course follows hard-packed roads through Jungle Gardens. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Packet pickup occurs Friday, November 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Tri Running in Lafayette, Louisiana. All finishers receive medals; registered participants in the 5K and 7K receive guaranteed t-shirts if registered by October 20. Age groups span from 1–14 through 70+. Awards go to top overall male and female finishers in all distances, plus masters and grand masters categories and top-three finishers by age group in the 5K and 7K. Race proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A virtual 5K or 7K option is available for $35, with optional packet shipping for $8.
