About the race
The race.
The Kansas City Head for the Cure 5K takes place on August 23, 2026, at Corporate Woods in Overland Park, Kansas. Packet pickup and registration begin at 7:00 am on race day, with the 5K run/walk starting at 8:00 am. A kids' fun run begins at 9:15 am, followed by survivor and caregiver recognitions at 9:30 am. Event awards are presented at 10:00 am.
