The race.
Join the 18th annual KAT-Walk and 14th annual Karo-5K on September 20, 2026, at Payson Park in Portland, Maine. Participants can choose between a 2.5-mile walk or a 5K run along Back Cove Boulevard. Registration and activities run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with the 5K starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by the walk. Awards and closing ceremonies take place at 12:15 p.m. The event benefits brain aneurysm awareness and honors those affected by the condition. Family activities, information booths, and picnic areas are available throughout the morning.
