Kentucky Cryptid Series - Bigfoot 2026

The race.

The Kentucky Cryptid Series – Bigfoot race takes place October 4, 2026, in Fairdale, Kentucky at Jefferson Memorial Forest's Horine Reservation. Runners choose between an 8-mile trail run through the Red and Orange Trails or a 5-mile option; both start and finish near the campground gate parking lot. Packet pickup begins at 7:00 AM on-site. The 8-mile course includes one on-course water stop; the 5-mile course offers water and refreshments at the finish. Restrooms are available at the start/finish area and along the campground lane. T-shirts are optional add-ons available for pre-order during registration or for purchase on race day. Overall male and female awards are given; participants who complete 3 of the 4 races in the series earn a Cryptid Series Survivor Medal and shirt. This is a cupless event; runners must bring their own water bottles or hydration packs.
