Kilometers & Kegs for Cool's Legacy takes place September 19, 2026, at the Thurmont Event Complex in Thurmont, Maryland, benefiting Cool's Legacy, a nonprofit supporting suicide awareness and prevention. The 5K race starts at 10 a.m., with a Fun Run option starting at 10:05 a.m. The course begins and ends at the event complex and includes a portion on the paved Thurmont Trolley Trail. Packet pickup occurs Friday, September 18, from 5–7 p.m., or race day from 8:30–9:30 a.m. at the event complex. First-place medals are awarded in overall and kids categories. Post-race festivities include food and beverages from local vendors, a commemorative glass for 5K runners and commemorative cup for Fun Run participants, and activities such as a bounce house and raffle.
