The race.

The Kokosing Alberici Traylor Engineers Day 5K takes place on June 26, 2026, in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. The 5K race starts at 6:00 p.m. from Ashmun Bay Boat Launch, following a 100% soft surface course of gravel road and snowmobile trail to Ted Caffey Memorial Trail, South Street, and back. Packet pickup occurs on race day starting at 4:00 p.m. at the boat launch parking area, with early pickup available Thursday from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Birdseye Outfitters. All participants receive a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments include water, Gatorade, bananas, watermelon, chips, and fruit snacks. Age group awards go to first place in ten divisions (0–9 through 80+), with overall awards for top male and female finishers and master's (40+) and grandmaster's (60+) categories. A YRC t-shirt is available for an additional $15 during online registration. Registration fees range from $25 to $40 depending on date.
