The race.
The Ladrigan Swim Races take place September 12, 2026, at Bayley Beach in Norwalk, CT. Three swim distances are offered: a one-mile Lighthouse Race starting at 10:30 AM from Green's Ledge Lighthouse to shore, a concurrent Buoy Race from buoy to shore, and non-timed Children's Swim Races grouped by age along the beach. Check-in for the Lighthouse Race begins at 8:30 AM, with shuttle boats departing at 9:30 AM to transport swimmers and kayak escorts to the lighthouse. Following the races and awards ceremony, participants can compete in beach games including tug-of-war, pie-eating, and an egg toss.
