The race.
The Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K takes place on October 10, 2026, at the North Elba Horse Showgrounds in Lake Placid, NY. The half marathon and 10K start at 8:00 a.m., with the 5K starting at 8:10 a.m.; the course closes at noon. Packet pickup occurs Friday, October 9, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 10, from 6:00–7:30 a.m. The half marathon and 10K courses include two moderate hills and award overall top-three finishers (male and female) plus top-three finishers in seven age groups (19 and under through 70 and over). The 5K awards overall top-three finishers (male and female) only. Proceeds support community wellness initiatives and local youth programming.
