The race.
Lake Run offers three events on September 5, 2026, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. The 9-mile race begins at 8:00 AM on a flat paved loop course, while the 3.1-mile 5K starts at 8:00 AM on an out-and-back course near the lake. The Fastest Kid in Town Race, a 40-yard dash on blacktop, starts at 10:30 AM with registration opening at 8:30 AM; online preregistration is available. Both adult races feature age divisions for males and females (18-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+), with the kids' race divided into age groups 0-2 through 9-10. First and second place finishers in each age category receive medals.
