Lake Superior Shore Run 2026

The race.

The Lake Superior Shore Run takes place September 11-12, 2026, in Marquette, Michigan, featuring a half marathon, 5 mile hike, 5K run, 1 mile kids race, and 1K youth trail run at Little Presque Isle on Lake Superior. Packet pickup occurs Friday, September 11 from 4-7 p.m. at South Beach and Saturday, September 12 from 8:15-9:30 a.m. at Little Presque Isle. The half marathon starts at 9:00 a.m. Saturday with a four-hour time limit (cutoff 1:00 p.m.); the 5 mile hike begins at 9:05 a.m., and the 5K at 9:30 a.m. The kids race runs Friday at 6:30 p.m. at South Beach and is free. Half marathon, 5K, and 5 mile hike participants receive race shirts, and age group awards are given to all distances. Proceeds benefit youth cross country skiing programs.
