Lakes Country Triathlon 2026

The race.

The Lakes Country Triathlon takes place August 30, 2026, in Baxter, Minnesota, and offers individual triathlon, team relay, and individual virtual triathlon options. The swim covers a quarter-mile in Whipple Lake, followed by a 13.6-mile bike course through rolling hills and a 3.2-mile run through a residential area. Registration closes August 27 at 11:59 p.m., with race-day registration available. Participants registering by August 14 at 11:59 p.m. receive a t-shirt. Proceeds benefit youth programs and charities in the Brainerd Lakes area. Hard-shelled helmets are required for cycling, and drafting is prohibited.
