About the race
The race.
The Lakota Optimist Club's Run for Youth takes place on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 am, starting and finishing at Lakota Plains Jr School in Liberty Township, Ohio. The 1.5-mile race is for elementary-age students. Participants must arrive by 9:15 am to receive their race number. First through third place finishers in each grade and gender receive awards, and all finishers receive ribbons. Race shirts are provided to those who register by September 17, 2026. The event runs rain or shine, and registered adults may participate and appear in results, though they are not eligible for awards.
