Last Chance Marathon and Half Marathon 2026

The race.

The Last Chance Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on December 31, 2026, in Bellingham, WA, organized by NW Endurance Events. Runners may choose a 13.1-mile half marathon or 26.2-mile full marathon, both starting at Fairhaven Park Pavilion and following the Interurban Trail out and back to Clayton Beach. The course is primarily a former railroad bed with gravel surface, including sections at Arroyos Park featuring double-track terrain and bridges. Four aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, and snacks approximately every 3 to 3.5 miles. Finishers receive a commemorative medal, and food is available at the finish. The bathrooms and heated Pavilion at Fairhaven Park are accessible; runners should plan for potential snow and cold conditions typical of this time of year.
