About the race
The race.
Run or walk a 5K on the Hunter Pace turf and cross-country course at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington on September 5, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. The race benefits the Kentucky Horse Council. All participants receive a commemorative ribbon and shirt (sizes S–3XL). Age group awards are presented for males and females in categories from 0–14 through 70+, plus overall winners. Additional awards recognize the best tailgate and best costume. Free finish-line photos are provided, and race morning packet pickup is available on-site.
