Liberty 5K & Fun Run 2026

The race.

Liberty 5K & Fun Run takes place July 4, 2026, in The Colony, TX, organized by Liberty By The Lake. The 5K starts at 7:50 a.m. and the Fun Run starts at 7:30 a.m., both beginning at Stewart Creek Park. The event includes a 5K (3.1 miles) and Fun Run (1 mile) with separate divisions for males and females in the 5K and age groups ranging from 0–8 through 70+. All finishers receive medals; the 5K awards trophies to overall and masters winners plus specialty medals to the top three finishers in each age group and division, while Fun Run participants 12 and under receive goody bags. The first 800 registrants receive t-shirts. Packet pickup is available June 27 (11 a.m.–4 p.m.), June 29–July 2 (6:30 a.m.–9 p.m.), and race day (6:30–7:30 a.m.) at The Colony Recreation Center.
