Lions on the Leon Captain "D" Dash for "Sight" 5K Fun Run/Walk 2026

The race.

The Belton Lions Club hosts this 5K fun run/walk on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at Heritage Park in Belton, Texas, with the race beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Lions Pavilion and following Park Avenue and the Leon River trail before returning to the start. The timed event features 14 age groups (11 and under through 70+) with awards for top overall finishers and the top three finishers in each age category, plus four costume awards. All registered 5K participants receive a custom spinner race medal, event sunglasses (while supplies last), and a swab bag; event t-shirts are guaranteed to those registered by September 17th. Water stations and race snacks will be available along the course. Early packet pickup is available October 1st from 6–8 p.m. and October 2nd from 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at John Corsi State Farm Insurance on Lake Road, with race-day registration from 7–7:45 a.m. at the park.
