About the race
The race.
The Lobo Cancer Challenge takes place September 26, 2026, at UNM Lobo Football Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Participants can choose from a 5K run/walk, 1-mile run, 1K run, 25-mile bike ride, or 50-mile bike ride, plus a stadium stair challenge and children's fun run for ages 1–10. A virtual option is also available. All fundraising proceeds support the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center's cancer patient treatment and support programs, advanced research, community outreach, and education. The event features a participant village with sponsor booths, games, and activities on the stadium field.
