The race.
On September 12, 2026, 2 Lowe Run Company hosts the Lock 2 Lock Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and Virtual 10K in Williamsport, Maryland. The marathon (26.2 miles) starts at 7:30 a.m. with a 3:00 p.m. cutoff; the half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 8:00 a.m. with a 1:00 p.m. cutoff; the 10K (6.2 miles) starts at 8:15 a.m. with an 11:15 a.m. cutoff. All courses follow the C&O Canal Towpath in an out-and-back format, starting and finishing near Lock 44. The marathon course is Boston Marathon qualifying certified. Multiple aid stations along each course provide water, Gatorade Endurance, pickle juice, and potato chips.
