The race.

The Locust Elfie 5K Run/Walk takes place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, in Locust, NC. The 3.1-mile certified course runs through the Locust Town Center and surrounding neighborhood. Overall awards go to the top three male and female finishers, with age group awards for males and females in 15 categories ranging from 10 and under through 76 and older. Packet pickup occurs Saturday, December 5 at the West Stanly Senior Center in the Locust Town Center, though race-day pickup is also available. Early-bird registration costs $20 until March 23, and the first 100 registrants receive Christmas elfie socks.
