Loop The Lake 2026

The race.

Loop The Lake, presented by the Traverse City Track Club, offers 4-mile and 8-mile individual races plus a 2-person relay around Boardman Lake on the Boardman Lake Loop Trail in Traverse City, Michigan on September 4, 2026. The course combines pavement, gravel, boardwalks, and bridges, starting and finishing at Hull Park on the lake's north side. The 4-mile event welcomes runners and walkers; the 8-mile is recommended for runners only. All finishers receive a technical running cap, and top finishers earn custom pottery awards or medals by age group. Packet pickup begins at 4 p.m. on race day at Hull Park, with online registration available until 5:45 p.m. Refreshments from Playa Bowls will be available at the finish.
