The race.
The Marathon component of Loop the Lake takes place in Syracuse, NY on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The marathon course loops around Onondaga Lake on a tree-lined route. Finishers receive a marathon medal. Participants can earn an additional Excelsior Challenge Medal by completing both a Saturday race (5K or 10K) and the Sunday marathon.
