Mancos Cowboy Half Marathon, 5K, and Fun Run 2026

The race.

The Mancos Cowboy Half Marathon, 5K, and Kids' Fun Run takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Mancos, Colorado. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles on a course mixing pavement, gravel roads, and trail terrain; the 5K is an out-and-back route primarily on paved county road; and a free 1-mile kids' fun run is also offered. Race starts are 8:00 AM for the half marathon, 8:30 AM for the 5K, and 9:30 AM for the kids' run, all from the Mancos Public Library parking lot at 211 W 1st Street. Packet pickup occurs Friday, October 23rd from 5–6 PM, or race morning 6:30–7:30 AM. The half marathon is limited to 150 runners and serves as a fundraiser for the Mancos Public Library; entry fees are reimbursed for participants who raise $500 in donations. Five aid stations stocked with water and Tailwind Endurance support the half marathon, with the final station closing at 12:15 PM to accommodate a 20-minute-per-mile pace.
