About the race
The race.
The Maplewood Mile 5K takes place October 3, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Henrico, VA, with a kids' fun run at 10:15 AM. The 5K course runs on mixed paved and crushed-gravel paths through Maplewood Park. Packet pickup and same-day registration open at 7:30 AM at the Maplewood Community Center, with the race briefing at 8:45 AM on the town green. All finishers receive a medal; technical race shirts go to the first 300 registrants. Awards are given to the top 3 overall runners and top 3 finishers in 10 age groups. Post-race refreshments, a food truck village, kids' activities, and photography are provided. Proceeds support the Maplewood Urban Tree Fund.
