The race.
The Mark Knutson Memorial Tour Da Lakes takes place on July 11, 2026, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Participants can choose from four bike distances: 12 miles, 21.5 miles, 29 miles, or 43.5 miles. All distances start and finish at Detroit Lakes High School (1301 Roosevelt Ave.) at 8:30 a.m. The 43.5-mile route requires a minimum pace of 15 mph. After the ride, all participants receive root beer floats at the finish line, plus free tap beer, soda, or root beer floats at local establishments. Proceeds benefit Project 412, a community organization.
