The race.
Medal Madness 5K & 13.1M takes place September 5, 2026, in Hickory, NC. Runners and walkers can choose between a 5K or 13.1-mile distance. Finisher medals are awarded to all participants. Water stations are available at the finish area and at the end of each lap for the half-marathon. The course is clearly marked, and race results are provided. This small local event is staffed by one or two race personnel, with EMS not on-site.
