Mustang Bear Paw 5K 2026

The race.

The Mustang Bear Paw 5K takes place on July 11, 2026, in Eagle River, Alaska. The 5K course begins at the Auto Zone parking lot on Old Glenn Highway and follows the Bear Paw Festival parade route through downtown Eagle River before looping onto the paved bike trail and returning to the finish at Eagle River Presbyterian Church. The event is sanctioned by USATF as an Alaska Association 5K Road Race Championship, with cash prizes awarded to top finishers who are USATF members and additional random drawings for member bonuses. Bib pickup is available Thursday, July 9 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. at Downtown Skinny Raven in Anchorage, or race morning from 8:45–10:00 a.m. at Auto Zone in Eagle River. Age group awards are given for 10 divisions (ages 1–8 through 80+), with overall winners also eligible for their age category prize. Stroller participants are requested to start at the back of the field.
