Mustang Music 5K 2026

The race.

The Mustang Music 5K takes place on October 3, 2026, in Fort Collins, CO, featuring a chip-timed 5K course through neighborhoods near Kinard Middle School with live music from Kinard and Fort Collins High bands along the route. A 1-mile fun run consisting of two laps around the Kinard track is also available, designed for young children and non-runners, with musical groups performing around the track perimeter. The Mustang Music Zero K option allows participants to support the band from anywhere by purchasing a race entry without running. All race entries include a short-sleeved tech shirt; those registering by September 13, 2026, receive packets and shirts before race day, while later registrations have shirts available 2–3 weeks after the event. Online registration closes September 20, 2026, with on-site registration available race morning starting at 8:00 AM. Shirt pickup for the Zero K option occurs at Kinard Middle School.
