The race.
The Mutt Strut is a 5K run or walk held September 12, 2026, in DeKalb, Illinois, benefiting Tails Humane Society and the homeless pets in its care. Participants may also choose a 1-mile walk option. Dogs are welcome to participate alongside runners and walkers. The event is not officially timed. Proceeds support the society's animal care including food, medical care, and surgical procedures for the approximately 2,200 homeless pets served annually.
