About the race
The race.
The NC Senior Games presents 5K and 10K championship races on September 17, 2026, in Cary, NC. Participants can run either the 3.1-mile or 6.2-mile distance, with the 10K course consisting of two loops of the 5K route. Results and photos will be posted and emailed to participants the afternoon following the race. The event is organized by Fit & Able Productions, a nonprofit supporting community fitness since 1997, with proceeds benefiting Fit & Able programs and community partners including the Cary Family YMCA and Triangle Aquatic Center.
