About the race
The race.
The Nevada County Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning in Grass Valley, with a kids race starting at 8:15 AM and the 5K run, 10K run, and 5K walk beginning at 8:30 AM at Hooper Stadium, Nevada Union High School. The course combines trail and street terrain around the school grounds and Litton Hill Trail. Early packet pickup occurs Wednesday, November 25th from 2:00–4:00 PM at Nevada Union Wrestling gym. Entry fees are $25 for ages 15 and up and $12 for ages 14 and under; t-shirts are included before November 18th and not included after. Awards go to first through third place finishers in age groups. Strollers are permitted on the walk course, and pets are not allowed.
