The race.

The New Buffalo Township Fired Up 5K takes place on September 19, 2026, at 9:00 am in Union Pier, Michigan. The 5K route runs along the non-motorized path on Red Arrow Highway and winds through Union Pier, with the start and finish at Timothy's Restaurant parking lot (16409 Red Arrow Highway). Packet pickup is available Friday, September 18 from 4:00–6:00 pm at New Buffalo Township Hall, or Saturday morning from 7:30–8:30 am at the race venue. Registration costs $25 through August 1, $30 through September 18, and $35 on race day; all early registrations through September 7 include a tee shirt, with limited extras available first-come, first-served. Awards are presented to overall male and female winners in eight age categories (14 and under through 70 and over). Proceeds benefit New Buffalo Township firefighters' equipment needs.
