Newtown 5K 2026

The race.

The 44th Annual Newtown 5K takes place Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at Moundview Park in Newtown, Ohio. Participants can choose a 5K run or 5K walk, with the 3.1-mile course traveling over residential streets with mile-marker splits, water stations, and first aid support. Separate age divisions are offered for runners (10 & under through 70+) and walkers (29 & under through 80+), with awards for overall finishers, age groups, corporate teams, school teams, and Newtown residents. Chip timing with shoe tags determines official times. Online registration costs $30 through August 2 or $35 afterward. Packet pickup is available August 6–7 at Tri State Running Company. A free kids fun run follows the main race, and participants are encouraged to bring canned goods or non-perishable items to benefit Inter-Parish Ministries food pantry.
