Newtown Turkey Trot 2026

The race.

The 16th Annual Newtown Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026, in Newtown, Connecticut, benefiting the C.H. Booth Library. Participants can choose from a 5K run/walk, a 2.5K walk, or a 1.6-mile fitness walk, with the race starting and finishing at Newtown Middle School (11 Queen Street). The race begins at 7:45 a.m.; packet pickup with bib and t-shirt collection occurs at C.H. Booth Library on November 24–25 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. and November 26 from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., with additional bib-only pickup available race morning from 6:30–7:15 a.m. T-shirts are provided to participants who registered before November 1; registration must close by 7:20 a.m. on race day. Water and coffee are available post-race; overall and age-group awards go to top finishers across categories ranging from under 10 to 70+. Advance online registration is required.
